Change certification body with confidence

Transfer your ISO certification to AAA

If you hold a valid accredited certificate, you may be able to transfer without restarting the full initial certification process. AAA will review your certification history and confirm the appropriate route.

What the transfer review covers

Your certificate

Current scope, sites, standards, validity and the status of the issuing certification body and accreditation.

Recent audit records

Previous audit reports, open findings, complaints or appeals and the current surveillance or recertification programme.

Your next audit

Once eligibility is confirmed, we agree timing and migrate your certification programme into the AAA client portal.

Transfers are assessed case by case. If transfer requirements cannot be met, we will explain whether a new Stage 1 and Stage 2 audit is required.

What to have ready for a transfer enquiry

A short initial email is enough to start. We can then tell you which records are needed for a formal review.

Current certification

Your current certificate, the standard or standards, scope, sites, expiry date and name of the issuing certification body.

Recent audit history

The latest audit and decision records, surveillance status and any open nonconformities or required follow-up.

What is changing

Any planned change to your activities, sites, legal entity or scope, plus the date you would like the transfer to take effect.

No automatic transfer promise. We review eligibility and timing before confirming the route. Your existing certificate remains subject to its current terms until the transfer is completed.

Check these points before you switch

Certificate nearing expiry

Contact us while it is still valid. A lapse or overdue audit can change the route, so we will review the status and timing before suggesting a transfer.

Buyer accreditation rules

AAA is ASCB accredited, not UKAS accredited. If a customer or tender specifically requires UKAS, confirm its acceptance criteria before changing provider. Read our accreditation guide.

Changes to the business

New sites, legal entities or activities may need additional audit work. Tell us what is changing so the proposed scope and audit programme reflect the business you actually operate.

How transfer pricing works

Transfers are priced individually after we review the certificate, audit history, scope and next scheduled audit. We will explain the proposed audit activity, initial transfer charge and later surveillance fees before you commit. If onsite auditing is needed, your auditor will discuss what reasonably needs covering; onsite days are agreed separately in advance at £400 per day plus VAT.

Certificate dates and continuity are not guaranteed. Any transfer and resulting certificate dates depend on the applicable certification and accreditation requirements and the outcome of our review.
