ISO certification FAQs
The practical questions organisations ask before choosing, preparing for and maintaining ASCB-accredited certification.
Is AAA accredited?
AAA is accredited by ASCB. This should not be confused with UKAS accreditation.
Can audits be remote?
Most AAA audits are remote. Scope, risk and activities determine whether onsite or live-video components are also needed.
How is pricing calculated?
The initial fee is calculated from your declared standards, turnover, people, sites and complexity. If the actual scope is materially different, we explain any extra audit work and charge before it is carried out. Onsite days are agreed separately at £400 per day plus VAT.
Can standards be combined?
Yes. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001 can be coordinated within an integrated audit programme where appropriate.
What happens after a finding?
AAA records audit findings and communicates the response required and relevant deadlines. You provide your response and evidence for review through the agreed channels.
Am I tied into a long contract?
AAA uses a rolling annual contract rather than a multi-year tie-in, subject to the agreed certification terms.
Can AAA write our system?
No. As a certification body, AAA must remain impartial and cannot provide consultancy for the management system it certifies.
Can we transfer?
A valid accredited certificate may be transferable after review of scope, validity, recent audits and any open issues. Ask about a transfer; the initial-audit calculator does not set transfer fees.
Where are certificates kept?
AAA provides issued certificates and approved marks to clients directly. Clients with active portal access can also find these documents in their workspace.
Is the displayed fee the full annual cost?
No. The questionnaire shows an indicative initial certification fee based on your answers. Subsequent annual surveillance fees are set out separately. Any physical onsite audit days are discussed and agreed in advance at £400 per day plus VAT.
Can I apply and pay online now?
Use the questionnaire to see an indicative initial fee and submit your organisation details for review. AAA will confirm the proposed audit scope and explain the quote and payment steps before the audit.
What if a tender asks for UKAS?
AAA is ASCB-accredited, not UKAS-accredited. Check the exact accreditation requirement with the buyer before applying, as we cannot represent an AAA certificate as UKAS-accredited.
Ready to see your price?
Answer a few questions for an indicative initial audit fee. Check your answers and declaration, then submit your organisation details for review. AAA will confirm the proposed audit scope and explain the quote and payment steps.
